Pleasant Day by Vera Jane Cook is a murder mystery novel that kept me hooked till the end of the book. I love and cherish the relationship between Pleasant and Clarissa because I felt the strength and support they give each other. Also many twists and turns to keep you guessing what's coming next and regarding the characters- complex and interesting. Great quick read!
Pleasant Day by Vera Jane Cook is a murder mystery novel that will catch your attention from the very beginning. I really enjoyed the twists and turns in the plot, and also the relationships build in the story.
Pleasant Day is a young girl who struggles with some family issues. On the other hand, Clarissa is an older woman, who can "read people" and they build a friendship that is so precious for them both. Another thing that they have in common is that they both had lost someone they love. The pace is just right for the plot, the characters are complex and relatable, and this makes the book so fascinating. I highly recommend it.
