Amy Moran can't wait to get to her best friend's wedding in Hawaii. She's been taking on extra typing at her job at MIT to help pay for the trip. She's not all that used to flying, but she's on the second leg of the trip--from Chicago to Kansas City. She's seated next to a friendly guy who's going home for Christmas. He regales her with tales of how festive things always are at his home.
Then...There's this snowstorm...
The airplane is wobbling as the pilot maneuvers the landing. The captain calls turbulence "a few bumps," even though Amy feels as if the plane's about to crash. The do land safely; however, now all planes are grounded. She has no extra money to get a hotel room. She tells her seatmate that she'll just sleep at the airport. He replies that she'll do no such thing, as he calls his mother and asks if she can stay with them.
Is he falling for her/ Is she falling for him? Will the family matriarch get in the way of their feelings?
