About The Author
I am a physical therapist, personal trainer, nutrition and wellness coach, teacher, and practitioner of Function Medicine. I received my undergraduate and graduate education in my native town of Chicago IL. I received my undergraduate degree in Biology at DePaul University, and post-graduate education in Physical Therapy at the University of Illinois, Chicago. While in Illinois I acquired experience in a variety of clinical care settings, clinic management, and academic curriculum development.
My continued love of science and a dedication to helping others led me to pursue and complete certifications for Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and Certified Personal Trainer, through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
My focus and approach to care have shifted toward natural health and nutrition. I completed a certification in Holistic Nutrition and Wellness Coaching at Southwest Institute of Healing Arts in Tempe, AZ., and continue to pursue education in Functional Medicine through the Institute for Functional Medicine. ( IFM)
My current clinical practice integrates nutrition, lifestyle, and the critical mind-body connection for healing and disease prevention.
I enjoy teaching classes on Managing Pain, Prevention of Osteoporosis, Muscle Health, and Fitness. I love to see the hope in others renewed through simple education.
I am dedicated to increasing awareness of the importance of healing past trauma and its impact on the nervous system for successful treatment of chronic pain disorders.
I am the owner of Integrated Physical Therapy and Wellness in Phoenix, AZ.
In my leisure time, I enjoy being in nature, hiking, swimming, traveling and spending time with my husband, and family.
