About The Author
Hi, I’m Jacqueline (Jackie) Lambert, award-winning travel writer, adventure traveller, and dogmother, who loves history and curious facts.
Â
B.C. (Before Canines) I hurtled, slid, submerged and threw myself off bits of every continent except Antarctica.
Â
A.D. (After Dog), with husband Mark, I gave up work to become an Adventure Caravanner. My aim: To Boldly Go Where No Van Has Gone Before – and get in as much skiing, hiking, and windsurfing as possible.
Â
I have written seven light-hearted memoirs about our travels since giving up work. All have received multiple 5* reviews, have been category bestsellers on Amazon, and have won multiple awards.
Â
In July 2021, we moved ‘house’, so I am currently at large in a self-converted 24.5-tonne ex-military truck called The Beast, with Mongolia in my sights.
Â
My latest book, Building The Beast: How (Not) To Build An Overland Camper, chronicles how we purchased The Beast blind off the internet and converted her with a rather eclectic group of friends!
