About The Author

I'm originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I now reside on the beautiful Gulf Coast. I'm a history teacher, and I'm married with three beautiful children. My daughters are still at home, but my son (who's a wonderful preacher, by the way) and his lovely wife call South Carolina home. I love stories and steadily collect them. My favorite sport is football and old movies are what I watch when I have some down time. Romance is my favorite genre because it all works out for the best eventually. My first book, "31 Prayers for the Addict I Love" came from the heartbreak of being married to an addict for 18 years. That devotional gave me the courage to write my first novel, "A Place Called Grace." Leah McPhillen is similarly unlucky in love, but her story is one that needed to be told.

The Island of Lost Cause Minstrels

“Thanks for getting us thrown out of New Orleans,” Joy’s eyes flamed at her brother Ed as he drove through the now-quiet streets of the French Quarter. “You really did give us a vacation to remember.”
