The magic lady

A beautiful face

Her smile demure

Exuding grace

The men stood near

There were so many

They offered gifts

And there were plenty

One man stepped forward

A tall, handsome man

They called him Jacques

He had a plan

And then he asked

I would like to know

Will you take my hand

Miss Marie Laveau

She held out her hand

After removing her glove

She answered yes

As she fell in love
