A Parisian Romance
John Monyjok Maluth
Anna was a young and aspiring artist from New York, who had always dreamed of visiting Paris. She had a passion for painting, and she wanted to see the city of lights, and the city of art. She wanted to see the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, the Notre Dame, and the other famous landmarks. She wanted to experience the culture, the history, and the beauty of Paris.
She saved up enough money, and bought a plane ticket to Paris. She packed her bags, and boarded the plane. She was excited, and nervous. She didn't know anyone in Paris, and she didn't speak French. She hoped that she would find her way, and that she would have a good time.
She arrived in Paris, and took a taxi to her hotel. She checked in, and went to her room. She unpacked her bags, and took out her sketchbook. She looked out the window, and saw a stunning view of the city. She felt a surge of inspiration, and decided to go out and explore.
She grabbed her sketchbook, and her camera. She walked out of the hotel, and into the streets. She felt a wave of wonder, and joy. She saw the people, the cars, the shops, and the cafes. She smelled the bread, the cheese, the wine, and the flowers. She heard the music, the laughter, the chatter, and the horns. She felt the sun, the breeze, the warmth, and the charm. She felt alive, and happy.
She wandered around the city, and saw many amazing sights. She saw the Arc de Triomphe, the Champs-Élysées, the Moulin Rouge, and the Sacré-Cœur. She took pictures, and made sketches. She also saw many artists, who were painting, drawing, or performing. She admired their work, and their talent. She wished that she could be like them, and that she could share her art with the world.
She decided to visit the most famous museum in the world, the Louvre. She bought a ticket, and entered the museum. She was awestruck by the size, and the beauty of the museum. She saw thousands of paintings, sculptures, and artifacts. She saw the works of the masters, such as Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Raphael, and Rembrandt. She saw the Mona Lisa, the Venus de Milo, the Winged Victory, and the Liberty Leading the People. She was amazed, and inspired.
She also saw a man, who was standing in front of a painting. He was tall and handsome, with blond hair and blue eyes. He was wearing a leather jacket, and a pair of jeans. He had a sketchbook, and a pencil. He was drawing the painting, which was a portrait of a woman. The woman had dark hair and green eyes. She had a mysterious smile, and a captivating gaze. She looked like a modern Mona Lisa.
Anna was intrigued by the man, and by the painting. She approached him, and said hello. He looked at her, and smiled. He said hello back, and introduced himself. He said that his name was Lucas, and that he was a local artist. He said that he liked the painting, and that he was trying to capture its essence. He said that the painting was called "La Belle Inconnue", which meant "The Beautiful Unknown". He said that the painting was a mystery, and that no one knew who the woman was, or who the painter was. He said that the painting was a challenge, and a fascination.
Anna said that she was Anna, and that she was a visitor from New York. She said that she was an artist too, and that she loved the painting. She said that the painting was beautiful, and that the woman was intriguing. She said that the painting was a wonder, and a delight.
They started a conversation, and found out that they had a lot in common. They both loved art, and they both wanted to make a living from it. They both had a sense of adventure, and they both wanted to see the world. They both had a sense of humor, and they both liked to laugh. They both felt a connection, and they both liked each other.
They decided to spend the day together, and to see more of the museum. They saw more paintings, sculptures, and artifacts. They talked, and joked, and learned. They also drew.
