"I have met Roy and I can honestly say I was impressed by him. I love the title of Charlie's book, as it lets us know we can be works of art also. I realize how much Charlie's book and Roy's work can help us all become our true selves.
"I feel I can write a book just commenting about the value of what Charlie's words and Roy's life and work can accomplish for us all. So read and learn. The book is about people and their potential. Let Charlie's words and Roy's work reparent you and help you to be reborn into a new physical life and understanding of your life."

"If you are interested in martial arts, and an extraordinary journey, then “To Become A Living Art” by Charlie Siegel is for you. Roy Shingen Goldberg Sensei, and Charlie Seigel apply the art to martial arts as the pages turn in this incredible offering and book. I knew nothing about martial arts, except the name, but came out with a flood of knowledge and spiritual wisdom from both the author and Roy Goldberg Sensei. The book is so honorable, and sacred, with humor sprinkled in. He talks about family, spirituality, and the techniques of Daito Ryu Aikijujutsu. As he explains to Dr. Bernie Siegel, Goldberg Sensei can explain aiki, but the techniques must be felt. Roy is a world-renowned Daito Ryu Aikijujutsu practitioner and teacher. His goal is to spread the marital art and says the only way to do this, is to have his students become better than him. Charlie also points out that Goldberg Sensei is a well-rounded individual with a loving family. My favorite part of the book is when he waited hours in line to meet a soap opera star with his daughter. (I can relate.) I thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful pictures taken by Charlie Siegel himself. The book chronicles the life of Goldberg Sensei, as well as shows Charlie's incredible wisdom in his writing. Goldberg Sensei grew up in the Bronx. The stories of his early life with problems in school, to becoming an anatomy teacher are incredible. Please read it to find out more of the life of this incredible teacher and profound person. I highly recommend it."
