Songbird is an intriguing mystery story that happened back in the 1920s. I was amazed how beautifully the author managed to describe the historical details, the characters, and the surroundings of the time! Jax Diamond, one of the main characters, was an insightful and intelligent, handsome detective who, together with his best friend Ace, a German Sheppard has to investigate the death of a playwright. The beautiful rising star Laura Graystone - the Songbird also is dragged into the murder case without her will, but soon she will be partnering with Jax and Ace to solve the mysterious death of the playwright.
A book full of twists and turns, humor and romance, so that I can guarantee you - you will be absorbed by the story! A great read!
Songbird is a delightful mystery story, taking the reader back into the 1920s. I am a big fan of murder mysteries, and this one was a pleasant read for me! The main characters - Jax and Laura, are likable and courageous, and together with Jax's German Sheppard, Ace has to unravel the mysterious death of a playwright. Absolutely recommend the book, as it is a real page-turner!
