Debby Grahl nailed the cowboy-with-a-past trope without falling into clichés. Dillon’s emotional wounds and Diana’s inner conflict created an engaging, believable romance. The book touches on themes of identity, expectations, and choosing a path that aligns with who you truly are. The Lazy M ranch felt like a character itself, with its traditions and cozy charm. I also loved the touches of humor—especially Diana adapting to country life! I stayed up way too late to finish this, and I have no regrets.

This book gave me Hallmark vibes in the best possible way—but with a little more spice. I loved watching Diana find clarity on a mountain ranch after questioning her future with her fiancé. Her interactions with Dillon were sweet, sexy, and full of tension. I appreciated that the author didn’t rush their connection but let it build naturally. The family ranch setting was wonderfully described—I felt like I was breathing in that crisp mountain air. My only wish? A little more development for the secondary characters, but still a very satisfying read.
