I am a retired Human Resource exec turned author. Since 2016 I have written 9 books. My first sereies, The Julia Street 4 book series is set in South Berkeley on the street where I grew up. As a result of my books and work with the South Berkeley Legacy Project, my likeness and a personal quote are depicted on a mural of the history of South Berkeley, spanning the time of the Ohlone Indians through today. Because of my books and a biannual walking tour I lead, my childhood street is also featured on the mural as one of ten streets deemed "the heart of South Berkeley."

I am a proud and active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, our Vice President, Kamala Harris is a member as well. When we join we take an oath to provide a lifetime of service to all mankind. It is an oath a live up to through various community groups including the Berkeley Historical Society, Livermore Library.
