Tessa Buckley
About The Author
Tessa Buckley grew up in the countryside just outside London. She was an inveterate scribbler, and spent much of her childhood writing and illustrating stories. After leaving school she studied Interior Design at Chelsea College of Art and spent the next few years working for architects and designers in London, After her two children were born, she began to write again, starting with articles on healthy eating and family history. It wasn’t until her ten year old daughter complained that she couldn’t find enough adventure stories to read that she switched to writing children’s books. This led, in 2016, to the publication of her first novel, Eye Spy, the first in a series for 9-12 year olds about two teen detectives. The second book in the series, Haunted, was a finalist in the Wishing Shelf book awards 2017. The final book Lady in Red, came out in 2019. She is now working on a Young Adult novel.
She lives by the sea in Essex with her husband, a retired teacher, and a large white cat called Pippa, and has just completed an Open University arts degree.
