Kathleen Templeton
About The Author
Kathleen Templeton is an elementary substitute teacher and writer. She loves reading, learning, genealogy, learning family history, writing and wearing tartan. Beautiful Alberta is where Kathleen is blessed to live with her husband and two daughters.
Kathleen wrote Jar of Tears: Moms aren't supposed to die based loosely on her life experience of losing her mother unexpectedly when she was nine years old. She never fully grieved the loss of her mother as seeing discomfort in the adults around her suppressed open grief. She kept it hidden away for many years until the advice of a wise counsellor told her that grief work is non-negotiable and there is no expiration date on grief. Knowing that many children and adults do not have access to great counsellors, she wrote this book in hopes that it would provide support and encouragement in grief within a Christian worldview.
