Christa Jan Ryan is a memoir author, television host, and accomplished creative professional, known for her deep exploration of resilience, recovery, and the often-hidden realities behind outward success. Raised in Kingston, New York, as the youngest of six children, Christa’s experiences, including her triplet sisters born with cerebral palsy, shaped her worldview and later her writing.

For over 45 years, she worked as a landscape designer in the Hamptons and Southern Vermont, catering to high-profile clients. This rare vantage point allowed her to witness the contrasts between privilege and pain, beauty and brokenness, themes that permeate her bestselling memoir, Silent Screams from the Hamptons. The self help memoir book, which spent six weeks at #1 on Amazon in 2009, candidly chronicles her journey through trauma, addiction, survival, and healing, blending emotional honesty with unexpected humor. The memoir was later adapted into the stage production Good God! Why?, which toured New England for three years.

In addition to her writing, Christa has hosted two award-winning television programs: Artists from New England, which showcases emerging creative talent, and Recovery from Religion, which airs nationally and explores faith as a personal, lived experience rather than institutional dogma.

Committed to service, Christa has spent over two decades supporting the recovery community, alongside her ten years of prison ministry with her husband. She has also spoken publicly about domestic violence awareness, including serving as a keynote speaker at a major fundraiser in Cherry Hill, New Jersey.
