Hi, I am Brigitte and I came to live in England in 1995, after falling in love and surviving a long distance relationship of nearly 3 years with my now husband Steve. I was born in Assen, a provincial town in the north of The Netherlands. A town you would only have heard of if you are into motorbikes as it hosts the yearly national TT, when the town comes alive with live music, nightlife and motor racing of course. I was keen to leave to study General Studies (I really didn't know what I wanted to do in life!) in Utrecht and lived there until I absconded to Reading University to study Geography and Economics. We got married in 1999 and had our first baby girl in 2001. The second followed in 2004, a boy this time. I gave up teaching to be a full time mum for a while until my third child, a baby girl in 2007, started going to school. Then I started doing an array of jobs including, Pampered Chef representative TA, Barking Mad dog holiday from home driver (!), and invigilating. A real career was difficult to achieve whilst fighting for the right diagnosis and help for one of my children, who after many years was finally diagnosed with ADHD and ASD. As a family we love a bit of dressing up for Halloween and parties :-) I also love reading, musicals, dogs, and horses. I get to ride out with both my daughters, mainly on holiday on the beautiful island of Terschelling which we return to every summer. I rekindled my love for writing about four years ago when the mad idea started to form to write a book. I now have published tge complete Sensorians Trilogy!
