Coleman was executed for the murders of Carl Pearson and his wife, Roslyn. After investigating this criminal, they found that he had most likely committed at least 14 murders. One other, of his Montana murders, was Andrew J. Walton, 80 years old ! Mr. Andrew died in the hospital and was unable to testify against Coleman. Coleman was in cahoots with a man named Brown. Brown was given a life sentence for Carl Pearson's killing, and Coleman was sentenced to death for Roslyn 's murder.
A history of hangings in Montana , and the deaths of Law Enforcement are detailed in this book. And some who were hung may have been innocent.
