The author here rightly appreciates and points out that the Author of the Book of Hebrews has intended to present Jesus Christ as the Son of God who is the Priest, Prophet and King. Jesus is the True High Priest of the order of Melchizedek, the True Prophet who is before and after Moses, and the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. He did not mince his words on the Redemptive Work of Christ for the salvation of humankind, especially to the Jewish brethren in his time. It was deliberate because of the confusion and syncretic belief of some of the first century Jewish Christians where the New Testament writers called them the 'Circumcision Party' who went around to Christian circles forcing them to follow the Mosaic laws for salvation.

The author has also highlighted the focus of the Book of Hebrews and took the liberty to reiterate that Jesus Christ is the full measure and has superiority over the Old Testament worship, Moses, Aaron, the Law, the Tabernacle, the Sacrifices, the Priesthood, and the Ceremonies. These were only prototypes of the Real and True Worship that we today are privileged to enter and engage without fear or favour.

Christ is truly the beginning and the end, the alpha and the omega. He is the unchangeable Son of God who is the Creator of the universe and loves us so much hence, He offered Himself as the Perfect Sinless Sacrifice of God to forgive and redeem us back to God.

Preface:

This book is a verse-by-verse expositional commentary on the Epistle of Hebrews. It is a daily bible study and devotional through the Epistle of Hebrews. The book is divided into 13 chapters based on thirteen chapters of Hebrews. A careful study, meditation, and application of this book will help the reader to “grow in the grace, and the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ”, 2 Peter 3:18. God rewards those who diligently seek Him through His words. Hebrews 11:16, “without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”
