About The Author
Robert E. Kearns took a 1st Place in the 2019 Pencraft Awards for his debut novel, Hy Brasil: Island of Eternity.
Since then, he has gone on to publish two further novels, Crabb and Carnivore.
Kearns is also the other of short stories and poetry and has composed several volumes, including the book, Words of a Feather.
He lives and writes in Ireland

An Ice Crystal
Above the Arctic Circle a crystal of ice came into being and for three hundred years it hovered in the atmosphere without once bonding to another of its kind.
Day in and out it searched for a partner through the frigid haze except that with each instance he came near to coupling, his potential opposite repelled.
